King’s Scholars of Tomorrow International Foundation Course in UK, 2018
The King’s Scholars of Tomorrow scholarship will be awarded to students who have successfully applied for a King’s International Foundation course and hold an offer to start the course for September 2018 entry. International students are eligible to apply.
King’s College London is a public research university located in London, United Kingdom, and a founding constituent college of the federal University of London.
Scholarship Description:
- Application deadline: March 31, 2018
- Course Level: Scholarships are available for the foundation course.
- Study Subject: Students wishing to apply for the scholarship need to submit a 1-minute video telling us what inspires and motivates you about studying at King’s and your chosen King’s International Foundation course.
- Scholarship Award: There are up to 30 scholarships available to eligible students, with each scholarship worth £1,000(going towards your total tuition fees for your King’s International Foundation course).
- Number of Scholarships: There are up to 30 scholarships available.
- Nationality: International students
- Scholarship can be taken in the UK
Eligibility for the Scholarship:
- Eligible Countries: International students are eligible to apply.
- Entrance Requirements: To be eligible* to apply for the King’s Scholars of Tomorrow scholarship, you must:
- Be eligible to study a King’s International Foundation course.
- Meet the entry requirements to your chosen King’s International Foundation course.
- Have submitted a completed application to your chosen King’s International Foundation course for September 2018 entry and have an offer to study at King’s by the time scholarship applications are reviewed.
- Be legally allowed to study in the United Kingdom (i.e. not restricted from entering the UK or from applying for a study visa)
- Create a 1 minute video (using your mobile phone) telling us what inspires and motivates you about studying at King’s and your chosen King’s International Foundation course. You must upload your video on the King’s Scholars of Tomorrow platform.
- English Language Requirements: The level of English language, applicants are required to demonstrate is dependent upon the programme for which they have applied. The level of English required for each programme is denoted by a five-band system, each band corresponds to a level of English language competence.
Application Procedure:
Introduction: Please upload your 1 minute video through the King’s Scholars of Tomorrow platform. The file name of your video needs to inlcude:
- your King’s Student Number
- your First name and Last name
- your King’s Internatinal Foundation course
This is an example of how to structure your file name: 1812345-Fatima Basri-Liberal Arts and Politics
On the King’s Scholars of Tomorrow platform, you will be asked to fill in your Frist name, Last name and Email address before you can upload your video.
Please make sure you use the same email address as your King’s International Foundation application so we can match your scholarship application with your course application.
How to Apply: The scholarship application criteria includes:
- Your completed application to your chosen King’s International Foundation course.
- Creating a mobile video (no longer than 1 minute) that covers the topic: What inspires and motivates you about studying at King’s and your chosen King’s International Foundation course?
Your application will be evaluated on the following:
- The academic merit of the video assignment – a clear and fluent style with a well focused and structured argument.
- A well-written Personal Statement (as part of your application to a King’s International Foundation course) that covers:
- How the King’s International Foundation course you have chosen will benefit you
- What you feel you can bring to King’s as a student, and
- The area of study you intend to progress to after completing your King’s International Foundation course.
There will be a selection panel that will consist of a group of King’s academics and staff. The selection of candidates is a matter of academic judgement. All decisions of the panel are final.
