2018 RMIT Cultural Visions Film Scholarship, Australia
Applications are invited for RMIT Cultural Visions Film Scholarship for students to make a documentary or short film exploring cultural integration and its effect on social/community dynamics in Australian communities.
RMIT is a world leader in Art and Design; Architecture and the Built Environment; Engineering; Accounting and Finance; and Business and Management Studies.
Scholarship Description:
- Application Deadline: March 12, 2018
- Course Level: Scholarship is available for Certificate IV, diploma or degree program students.
- Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in the field of Media and Communication.
- Scholarship Award: The grant provides up to $3000 for one year.
- Number of Scholarships: Not given
- Nationality: Australian Students
- Scholarship can be taken in Australia
Eligibility for the Scholarship:
- Eligible Countries: Only Australian citizens can apply for this scholarship.
- Entrance Requirements: To be eligible for this grant you must:
- Be currently enrolled at RMIT
- Submit an application package which includes:
- A three minute video pitch of your proposed film (uploaded to Vimeo or You Tube)
- A three minute sample of your film work (uploaded to Vimeo or You Tube)
- A three-page project proposal that includes:
- A synopsis of the film you’re pitching
- A treatment of the project (describing the screen idea and approach)
- The reason for choosing your project
- A risk assessment of the project
- A film production timeline including project milestones
- A statement of benefit of the project to the location and people involved (Australia or overseas)
- A suggested budget, and
- The medium which will be used to film the project
- Be available to attend an interview if shortlisted
- Be able and committed to produce the short film/documentary piece* by 28 February 2018.
* The film should explore cultural dynamics and integration within Australian communities – past, present and/or future. The piece should show integration at work and encourage your peers’ awareness of different cultures. - English Language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
