Applications are invited for Fujitsu Scholarship program open to applicants of USA and Asia pacific region. The scholarship provides full financial assistance for postgraduate education and cross-cultural management training in the Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge program at JAIMS, the Japan-America Institute of Management Science in Hawaii, USA.
Fujitsu Limited established the Fujitsu Scholarship Program in 1985 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its founding. The aim was to provide the opportunity for people from the Asia-Pacific region to contribute to the region through studying different values, cultures, and global business.
Fujitsu is the Japanese global information and communication technology (ICT) company, offering a full range of technology products, solutions and services.
A minimum TOEFL score of 577/233/90 (paper/computer/Internet), TOEIC score of 750, or IELTS (Academic) overall band test result of 6.5 or higher from a test taken within the last five years at the time of application

Scholarship Description:

  • Application deadline: March 7, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarship is available for postgraduate education and cross-cultural management training at JAIMS, the Japan-America Institute of Management Science in Hawaii, USA.
  • Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded for education and cross-cultural management training in the Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge program by Fujitsu-JAIMS Foundation.
  • Scholarship Award: The Fujitsu Scholarship benefits include tuition and fees for the Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge program.

    • Airfare: 
      Fujitsu Ltd. will provide a round-trip air ticket to Japan where the program starts and ends, as well as ticket to participate Hawaii, Thailand, and Singapore Modules of the program. The selection of the air carrier and travel agent, including itinerary, is at the discretion of Fujitsu Ltd.
    • Housing Arrangements: 
      JAIMS will assist in locating appropriate housing in Honolulu for participants. Fujitsu Ltd. will provide and pay for participant accommodations in Japan, Thailand, and Singapore.
    • Visa Arrangements: 
      When applicable, participant will be assisted in obtaining the M-1 Student visa to enter the U.S. and Japan entry visa for a short stay. The expense of obtaining the visas is the financial responsibility of the participant.

  • Nationality: Hawaii, USA, or a citizen of one of the following countries: Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam
  • Scholarship can be taken in the USA

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants must be a resident of the state of Hawaii, USA, or a citizen of one of the following countries: Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam. Applicants who are residents of the State of Hawaii will be requested to prove Hawaii residency.
  • Entrance Requirements: To apply for the Fujitsu Scholarship, students must meet the following qualifications.
    • Education: A bachelor’s degree or a degree equivalent to a four-year standard baccalaureate degree in any discipline from a regionally or nationally accredited institution
    • Experience:A minimum of three years of relevant full-time work experience (five years preferred) after receiving a degree specified in the above Education section at the time of application
    • Language: A minimum TOEFL score of 577/233/90 (paper/computer/Internet), TOEIC score of 750, or IELTS (Academic) overall band test result of 6.5 or higher from a test taken within the last five years at the time of application
      Exemption:
      The following applicants are exempt from submitting an English proficiency test score:
      • Applicants whose native language is English and who are from one of the following countries: the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, or Singapore.
      • Applicants who have received a bachelor’s or advanced degree within the last five years from the time of application from an accredited or recognized college or university in one of the following six countries: the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, or Singapore. To be qualified for this exemption, you must submit the transcript or graduate certificate for this degree.
  • English Language Requirements: A minimum TOEFL score of 577/233/90 (paper/computer/Internet), TOEIC score of 750, or IELTS (Academic) overall band test result of 6.5 or higher from a test taken within the last five years at the time of application
Exemption:
The following applicants are exempt from submitting an English proficiency test score:
  • Applicants whose native language is English and who are from one of the following countries: the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, or Singapore.

For those applying for Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge without receiving Fujitsu Scholarship
How to Apply: To apply for the Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge program with Fujitsu Scholarship, you must complete the following three steps:
  • Check Eligibility: Check your eligibility before applying for the Fujitsu Scholarship program by checking the Qualifications.
  • Check Documentation: Check Details of the Required Documentation to confirm that you are able to meet the documentation requirements.
  • Register Your Information: Fill out the Web Registration Form. You must register during the application period to which you are submitting your application documents.
  • Download the Application Forms: You will receive an e-mail upon registering with links for downloading the Fujitsu Scholarship Application Form and the Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge Application Form.

  • All documents must be received during application period.
  • Applicants who fail to submit all documents during application period will not be considered.
  • Submitted application documents, such as transcript and graduate certificate, will not be considered.
Both of your PDF application forms and signed hardcopies of the application forms along with the other required documentations must be sent in order to complete your application.

E-mail the completed application PDF files saved on your computer to the address below. You must use the same e-mail address which you submitted at the time of registration.
